Council Bluffs Children's Theatre will have three Performing Arts Workshops this summer at Chanticleer Theatre.  The first workshop is Saturday, July 14th from 10am to 3pm for ages 13 thru 18.  The workshop will cover makeup, acting, and stage movement for a cost of $30.00.  The second workshop is Saturday, July 21st from 9am to noon for ages 6 thru 9.  The workshop will cover movement, creative drama and music expression for a cost of $20.00.  The third workshop is Saturday, July 21st from 1pm to 4pm for ages 10 thru 12.  The workshop will cover movement, creative drama and music express for a cost of $20.00.  Enrollment is limited.  Call Debbie Ekstrom, 322-3864, for registration information.

Want to learn a whole new set of acting skills?  Sure, we all do.  Now here's your chance.  The inaugural class of the Omaha Improv Academy will commence November 4th, at the Shelterbelt Theatre, 10:00 AM.  The six-week course will teach actors of all skill level the basics of character-based improvisation.  Theories of improvisation, unlocking your natural spontaneity, creating characters, creating environments, and all the basics of performance improv will be the focus of this first class.  The  class will end with a public performance.  Cost is $80.  For information or to register, call 880-8002, or visit the Spot Theatre website, at www.bluecircle.org.
